spiritually speaking or otherwise. I thought as we are approaching Thanksgiving this was appropriate.
I am so very thankful for my friends and my children.

In my whole life, the more than 20 years I spent with My Steve. In my current life, there are several things: my best friend Richard, my involvement with the Ethical Society, my great book and DVD collection, my computer, and Yahoo! Answers. Also my cozy apartment, my being in University City, St. Louis County, which is a multi-racial, multi-cultural island of openness and neighborliness in a state that is not nearly so open.

I'm also thankful to be living in America, although I need to be aware that the price of liberty is eternal vigilance, since there's an election year coming up and we need to take back control of our own government. So I guess you could say I'm very, very grateful for the Constitution and especially the First Amendment.

My family and friends :)

There are so many things I'm grateful for!! Just for being alive :)

Two things I always keep in mind:

My Mom's health - she had lung cancer, two and a half years ago, and still needs treatment and care. But she's here, with us and, despite her many health problems, she's relatively well, and able to do most things she likes :)

and

The fact that, despite my family's financial situation, that hasn't been good, lately, we live in an apartment with a wonderful view, that includes the ocean, hills and mountains, and an old convent with more than 500 years old, a very beautiful historic place. I can see all this from my bedroom's window :)

I am thankful for the past experiences which have added to the depth of my soul and enlightened me with more understanding.
I am thankful for the present, to continue my journey in life-overcoming obstacles or developing the coping skills as needed.
I am thankful for the future opportunities with what ever comes my way weather here on earth or reunited with loved ones in the spirit world. One of my favorite hymns is "I Know Whom I Believeth"

Well, I have no local family, & the family I DO have are not on speaking terms, so...my job & my two cats. The fact that I have decent health. Sunshine. People in my life on whom I love, & who love me back.
