Depends on what kind.
Plain cows milk upsets dogs stomaches because it contains lactose. If you want to continue to give your puppies milk, I recommended that you give them Lactaid milk, or goats milk.

Here is a link that will tell you how to take care of newborn puppies. :)

Never use cow's milk or human baby formula. The pups can't digest cow's milk and will lead to sever runs and dehydration.
You have to get puppy replacement formula or make your own from canned goats milk. Also kitten replacer milk is not good for puppies either!

You can find the replacement milk at many good pet stores and at WalMart. Just check the experiation dates and get several bottles too.
Why is momma not feeding her pups?? Is she sick? Are the pups crying a lot? How do you know she isn't feeding them enough??
See I have too many unanswered questions.
You can e-mail me if you wish but your only alternative right now is bottle feeding the pups every 2 to 3 hours.

You do not want to give them cows milk, you can buy special milk and powder at the pet store, it isn't expensive but it is the best way to go. It has all the nutrients that the mothers milk has. Cows milk doesn't have the supplements in it for growing puppies, it will also upset their tummies and you will more than likely have a nice mess to clean up from poops. If you need any more information on the pups or weening or anything feel free to contact me!

You cannot give cow's milk to puppies. Try buying puppy formula, this would be best since it is designed for newborns. Talk to your vet to make sure you don't need to give them anything else. Do not give them any kind of milk humans drink.

Contact the vet, they realy should be feeding from their mother right now. How old is she?

Give them goats milk or 'goats milk based puppy formula' that you can get at the supermarket. I use a brand called Top Life.

Most dogs can't digest cows milk.

If you can afford it, get the formula designed for puppies. It's available at nearly all pet stores.

How old are the puppies? They really should have something more nutritous and better suited to their tummies for the first few weeks.

To answer your question, yes, you can give milk. Please warm it and use a puppy bottle if they aren't yet able to drink from a bowl.

Milk's not the best option, but if you are out of other options, go for it.

In the dog section at walmart or anyplace like that they have puppy formula - its pretty inexpensive and they have the bottles too for like 97 cents - don't give them cows milk and don't give them any kind of milk after 6 weeks because they will get diarea

DO NOT GIVE THE COWS MILK! You can get puppy formulas at the store...cows milk will make them sick...the best I have found ever was a large tub of generic pet milk at tractor supply, I believe it is called Nutro and it's a square tub with a purplish label.

your puppies need a mommies mild substitute, call your vet or animal shelter they usually have it for sale, it is like enfalac,or similac baby formula like you feed children only it is closer to a female dogs milk, thus better for your pups.

I understand how you feel I had an Afghan Hound who produced 12 count them 12 pups in her first litter, the choice was to have some put down or help her as she did not have enough milk for all of them and the vet informed that pups grow up with rickets, (crooked bones) and so on if not properly fed as pups.

It was not easy, also make sure Mom gets cow's milk it is good for her it is protein and calcium things she needs to produce milk. If she shows any signs of rejecting the puppies you will have to separate her from them as she will kill them. Seek professional advise. Good luck.
