Richard Petty says that two team mates battling for the championship is boring and bad for the sport.

NASCAR seems to make up rules out of no where when things are bad for the sport - What rule are they going to make up this time?

(BTW...have fun with this one folks - 10 pts to the person who can make me laugh the hardest.)

I've read a story, where France has come up with this new plan for the chase... It states, that 2 drivers, who's 1st name starts with the same letter, can NOT battle 4 the chase !! So.....
J.J,jeff,jimmie,Jamie,joe,jacques,jeff-B and you too Juan,we all know the J. only sounds like a W. but even their your screwed, because of W ard Burton.. haha !! you guy's,can not battle each other !!! Carl,Clint and Casey... Your out !!!
All 3 of you David's.... Your out !!!! Kurt,Kyle,Kevin,Kasey and Kyle.... Sorry !! Reed and Ryan,Yeeaaah France got-u-2 covered too. ''BUT !! Since Kyle is a ''PETTY''..... We would
tweak the rules if it came down to him, and C asey Mears !!!
But if France is reading this.. This idea is only intended for COMICAL use !! Don't actually ''DO THIS'' !!.........O.K ???

I agree that it's not worth watching the final 2 races since one of the 2 drivers will win the cup. I believe the cup belongs to Jeff Gordon because he had such a large points lead before the Chase started. I have come to not like the chase system.

I've also heard that Kyle Petty may drive the #43 the first 6 races since Bobby Labonte has put plenty of owners point son the car, and Kyle's #45 is barely in the owners points. So Bobby will build up points for the 45 while Kyle is assured to be in the race with the 43. How pathetic is that!

the chase does not work.
2 team mates or no team mates in a set up ending like we have that is called the chase takes away any and every thing every team worked for through the year. You work to be NO.1 and then they put you in a group of10 or 12 drivers that could be hundreds of points behind you and you are all even now.
I would like to see how long all these pro chase believer would like this dumb a$$ rule.
I'm sorry but I loved this series from the end of the fifties to 1999 and I don't find too much funny about how this France D head is destroying everything his Grandfather and Father built. If you laugh I didn't mean for you to.

Dang, Bowlegged Snake, If John Darby is reading that the only guys eligible for the championship would be Tony Stewart, Bobby Labonte and Clint Bowyer.
How about this for a rule?
If there is more than one driver from the same team in the top twelve in points at the end of the 26th race, only the driver highest in the points rankings will be eligible to compete for the championship. Any other qualifying driver from the same team will transfer his points and Chase position to a neutral car driven by any driver with the surname of "Wallace."

Well, when anyone else wants to step up and race the Hendrick bunch, we're all waiting. The 48 and 24 haven't had much competition all year. It can be argued that clinching the Cup with 2 or 3 races to go was boring back when it happened.

Well, if we were to use Bow-Legged snake's plan, unless we get a hot rookie named George or Gilbert or something, we might as well go ahead and give Greg Biffle the 2008 championship trophy since he's the only G!

Who in the world would argue with Richard Petty-
especially about what its gonna take to repair a wounded
NASCAR-- I know one thing,, it is hard on me, My driver
is in second place right,, I`d say he is 100% right.
One thing I`d like to say to you Buckshot, Do you feel like
Rick Hendrick might have shot himself in the foot, when
he traded Kyle for Dale jr.

Sorry but I could care less.
The name Petty has not been relevant in NASCAR in 20 years.

Hmm What's Petty going to say next year when the top four in the chase are all Hendrick cars? A raspberry to him lol.
