There are several places in the Bible that seem to indirectly or symbolically denounce homosexuality, but there are two verses that do so quite clearly.
Leviticus 18:22
"You shall not lie with a man as with a woman. It is an abomination."
Leviticus 20:13
"If a man lies with a man as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."

Marriage has its roots in the Holy Bible -- not government, culture, or generation. The very first marriage was between Adam and Eve in the presence of God. See Genesis 2:24-25. The Bible is filled with passages on marraige...even in the New Testament. Take a look at what Paul wrote. Start at 1 Corinthians, chapter 7...or...Ephesians 5:21+. Clearly, marriage is rooted in the Bible. There is not one biblical example, however, where marraige is between a man and another man, or a woman and another woman, and is acceptable before God...look at what God did with Sodom and Gomorrah. The Bible also addresses homosexuality, but always as a sin before God. The Old Testament puts it this way in Leviticus 18:22 "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination [before the Lord]" Should you prefer the New Testament, consider 1 Corinthians, again...this time look at 1 Cor. 6:9-10: "Or, do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolators, nor adulterers, nor efeminate, nor homosexuals, nor theives, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God." If you want more, read 1 Tim. 1:9-10. Homosexuality is, therefore, regarded as a sin before God. This fact has nothing to do with how good the partners are, how likeable they are, how they seem to be made for each other, how happy they are, the predisposition in the brain towards homosexuality, and so on. The decision to regard "Gay Marriage" as bad has everything to do with one's commitment, faith in, and love for God. When these choices are paramount in one's life, trust in and obedience to God is paramount. Since homosexuality and marraige are inconsistent in the Bible, the notion of it in our secular society is a twisting and contortion of Biblical truth to satisfy man's desire. Ultimately, it rejects the truth of God. Hopefully, this gives some insight into the answer to your question.

In Levitiicus it says that a man should not sleep with another man. I am not cetain of the chapter, but there are lists of all the laws in the chapter.
I as a Christain feel it is not my place to pass jusdgement on anyone, that is Gods job, and by passing judgement, I am breaking another of His rules, "Judge not lest ye be judged"
I have freinds who I love dearly that are gay or lesbian, and I couldn't have friends that are more commited to friendship and they would literally give the chothes off their back to someone in need. Then I know those who proclaim to be the best Christains who ignore the poor or needy. So, who is the better person? Not for me to decide, but I know who I want in my corner.
No one should be ashamed of their sexuality. We all make mistakes, sin and so on, many Chistains live in un wed homes together. I choose to accept people for who they are, and nothing less. It is all a matter of how many skeletons the psople who stand in jusgement of others have hiding in their own closets, ya know.

Somewhere in the old testament leviticus I think but it only specifies two men, no lesbians. Also there is so much crap in leviticus that nobody follows. Like women killing pigeons after their period and taking it to the temple, or something.
Aww I'm sorry but there is loads of crap in Leviticus that nobody follows! How about the stoning? Admittedly some of it is changed later on in the bible, but more of it isn't, and people shouldn't pick and choose.

Leviticus, Deuteronomy, and Romans are the most quoted books in the Bible. I am personally a non-practicing Jew but when I came out this is what my grandmother said to me (she has always been supportive).
"God is love, love is God. How then can one human being loving another human being be a sin? Daniel (thats my name), you being homosexual is just as much of a sin as an heterosexual man lusting in his heart for a woman. As long as your feelings are feelings of love and not of lust, do not worry about what others say, because God knows you are not sinning."
BTW Cindy. God did not make man and woman to be together. God made man once and when he realized that Adam needed an companion he made Eve. If he meant for man and woman to be dependent on the opposite sex he would of made Adam and Eve at the same time.
Mark 185. Marriage has its roots in Paganism not the Bible. And it's been proven that Paganism has existed longer as a religion that Christianity.

The bible doesn't use the term "homosexuality" itself. However, it does condemn sodomy, which has been defined as being ritual homosexuality, in many places. I suggest doing a topic look-up on Bible Gateway.
http://www.biblegateway.com/
As for what I believe, I'm going to get a lot of thumbs down for this, but I believe that ALL sexuality is learned. While I do not think it's a sin to feel attraction to members of the same gender, I do think it's a sin to act out on that feeling. That doesn't give me the right to judge someone on that basis, however. That is between the individual and God.
Good luck on your spiritual journey and God be with you.
