Hamas Islamists, who seized control of the Gaza Strip in June, would take over the West Bank if Israel pulled out of the territory, a senior Hamas leader said on Friday, November 9, 2007.
"Israel says the party in Ramallah (Fatah) serves Israel, and if Israel quits the West Bank, Hamas will take it over. And we say this is true," Zahar said at a rally for Hamas supporters in Jabalya refugee camp in northern Gaza.
Hamas Islamists took over the Gaza Strip after routing forces loyal to the Western-backed Abbas. Israel and the United States are trying to bolster Abbas, who dismissed the Hamas-led government and formed his own cabinet in the West Bank.
"We say to those in the West Bank take a lesson from what happened in Gaza," Zahar said, an indirect reference to the fierce violence that led to Hamas's takeover of the coastal strip.
Israel has warned that Hamas would be poised to take over the territory were it to withdraw its forces.

Thew fellow who calls himself "shut up" thinks that a made-up people led by terrorists sworn to eradicate Israel -- will have a home? Hamas would take that over too, and then the chances of Israel's survival would approach zereo.
We cannot let that happen!

Hopless thinks that there might be peace if Isreal should leave Judea and Samaria. With no insult intended, Albert Einstein said that insanity is exhibited by someone who does the same thing and expects different results.
Israel has left Lebanon. Israel has left Gaza. Their place has been filled by international Mulsim terrror organizations.
It would be suicide to try the same tactic again.

Mark would like to see peace, as we all would. But we know from experience that giving land to the so-called Palestinians just leads to more terror and murder of Israelis. Mark, we do not live in a vacuum; we must learn from history.

As most people here have pointed out, whatever land Israel gives to its enemies becomes a serious threat to Israel, because of the Moslem terror that establishes itself there even more firmly that before.

What makes the land belong to Russian Jews? But you're right about Arabs being a minority, because Palestinians aren't Arab. Palestinians have lived in the area since the Neolithic; they are descended from the same core genetic stock as some of the Jews in the diaspora. Israelis know this- they use the Palestinian genome to compare with Jewish populations throughout the world in an effort to prove a link with Palestine. It does exist, but only a small percentage of Jewry it. If all Palestinians are Arab, doesn't that prove that Jews are Arabs too? The Crusaders didn't really expel anybody, the Crusades weren't about expansionism, same with the Turks. Do you have any evidence of this? There is much evidence that Jews were expelled after all- and I don't think there are many who dispute it. Just curious, where did you arrive at the statistic, "since then Arabs were a tiny minority in Israel, Judea and Samaria"? Considering that there was no such place as Israel since the Assyrian conquest, nor Judea since Hadrian.

Then Hamas will take over the West Bank too, or the West Bank will have a civil war similar to what happened in Lebanon, eventually the civil war will spread into Israel, thus forcing Israel to liberate the West Bank again

Simply look at what happened after Israel left Gaza to the Arabs.
It doesn't matter who takes control there - the Hamas or the Fatah. They both share the same goal of destroying Israel.

Sadly - if Israel pulls out the West Bank the West Bank will become a blood bath between Hamas and Fatah forces.
Good Luck!!!

It is for reasons such as this that I have advocated that Israel needs to annex the west bank just like they did with the Golan and East Jerusalem.
The two state solution has failed. Its attempts have only brought bloodshed and suffering to everyone.
Israel must secure its borders and end this petty conflict.
The Palestinians who wish to peacefully live in Israel should be given full rights to do so. Those that wish to cause violence need to be deported immediately.

If you give up the land the war will never stop. Only become more dangerous.
If you take them in as citizens they will eventually have total, not partial control of the government.
Only God can end this, and He will. He won't do it by empowering His enemies either.

Either way is OK with me and at end one man one vote for lasting peace the South African modal.
Edit: Zionism so far have no viable peaceful solution to both ppl. Jews are gathered to fight forever that is the only Zionist solution. That will remind us of the a apartheid or the Sparta solution.
we must learn from history like you said.
