Do believe, do have total, strong faith in the fact, that it is never too late! If you sang well in the past, certainly you have the potential to sing well again: a little change of style, a little change in tempo, a small adjustment, adaptation in pitch, and some support from supporters like the 'sruti box' or 'tambura' and any accompanying instruments that you may have, and, maybe, prudent selection of items you sing, --- you will certainly sing well again, i am sure! please sing again, keep singing, do not give up!

Yes absolutely; you will gain strength, therefore if you can sing, you should gain enough strength and lung capacity to perform that function. What you need is Oralmat. It comes in a 10 ml bottle; take 3 drops UNDER the tongue morning & evening. Was invented in Australia, but sold in the U.K., USA and some European countries. I have checked it out thoroughly. Especially effective for respiratory problems, but if you smoke, while still effective, the smoking will continue to compound the problem. I am a severe asthmatic, but with Oralmat, it has helped my lung function / capacity significantly. Only wish that I found it many years ago, now taking it for almost 3 years. Totally safe, zero side-effects, no steroids. It is an outstanding medication which doctors should pick up on, it works in so many areas. If have trouble finding it, can mail to: mybvperf@yahoo.com.au Good luck in finding it, you won't be disappointed, except I think the price in some countries is a bit high.
