If you are trying to calculate 1 day=1 thousand years you have to start from the date of his "death" on the cross. That year was 26 a.d. Deduct the 7 years from that you get 19 a.d., so by "your" assumption that Jesus will "return" on the 3rd day (or 3000 years), he will not be back until 3019 a.d. NOT 2008.

I do not know where you get your information but noone knows when Jesus is coming back. Many have foretold His second coming but they were wrong.
All I know is that Jesus is coming back. He could come back in my lifetime and if He does than that will be cool and if not then that will be fine too!

i've never heard 7 years before but i have heard 4 years...
so with it being 7 years BEHIND...it would be 2014...
i've never heard the 3 day thing..although i've heard the
1000d = 1d thing...

Even by your own calculations, he could come as late as 3008 and it would still count as the third day.
