Dr. John McDougall says YES you will get a distressed reaction.
I don't know "hurt" is the right word but it will give you a nasty back lash. I think how server will depend on what you eat & how sensitive your body is. Kind of like the flu bug.

It can cause you some digestive issues. Not harm, but you might feel sick. There are things your body produced to aid in the digestion of meat. It doe not produce them unless you eat meat. So after a while you don't have that any more. So if you're going to try it, you should build slowly at first to let your body catch up.

After some time your body does not have the same enzymes to digest meat but this does not mean you can't. I think it would have to be a slow process to start eating meat again.

Why would you eat meat if you don't want to? Are you being force-fed?!? Your body is made to digest plant matter not meat. Humans have long intestines and small, short teeth. Carnivores, like lions & wolves have short intestines and flesh-tearing teeth that are intended to kill, eat and & digest meat. Meat is bad for the environment, your health and last of all it's murder.

I don't think so.

The vegers here are going to say yes though. It's ironic. They will say that going from meater to vegan is completely safe and will say going the other way isn't. Just watch, you'll see.
