We live in the country and we don't have any health food stores. Can I probably just find it a t Kroger or Meijer?

There are both Soy & Rice sour creams.

tofutti make one.
it's not great but it'll do.
I like to use the tofutti cream cheese substitute stuff instead for most recipes requiring sour cream

They do make it, but it's quite disgusting. At least the ones we tried were.
