If this is recent have her checked for strep throat. My daughter had it and had the worst breath ever. Her doctor was able to diagnose it just on the smell.

Whilst I completely understand how frustrating it is they did exactly what they could. The nurses couldn't do any more. I have done exactly the same thing. I sat in a hospital waiting room when i was 6 months pregnant with my littl 2 year old doing exactly the same thing. But you aren't a priority and the only thing that would have help was a prescrition for anitbiotics, which the nurse cannot do for you. So I'm not supprised they were haveing coffee & bickies. The real problem is the nurses can't say "hey, you won't get seen until morning - just wait & go see your GP". They aren't allowed, I know I asked the nurse 'so do you think I should cut my losses here & go home?' and he said "I can't tell you what to do". So chances are if the waiting room is in anyway busy, and they say take a seat it could be a while, you aren't a death's door, you might as well go home and see your GP. Everyone gets bronchitis, I had it 3 times one year. It seems aweful in a little one, but it's not life threatening. If it was urgent they would see you straight away. You're lucky you saw a doctor at all.

Make sure she brushing her teeth correctly, and get her to brush her tongue too. Also tell her to floss, then rinse and gargle with an antiseptic mouthwash afterwards (using something like Listerine). She should be doing this 2 or 3 times a day. Also make sure she is drinking plenty of water to keep her hydrated and help aid her digestion. Sugar-free chewing gum can also help when needed to freshen her breath in-between brushing.
Doing all of this should help her breath smell a lot nicer. If it doesn't then you should take her to see a doctor as it may indicate a different kind of problem. :-)

Brush with baking soad gross taste but kills everything and whitens her teeth! Also gargle with Listerine and make sure she brushes morning and night or after she eats it'll cut down on plaque and germs causing the bad breath.

Floss every day. Brush teeth 3x per day, and each time, also brush the tongue.
Your daughter may also have "tonsil stones", or tonsiliths. You can do an internet-search to find out more about that---gargling each time you brush your teeth can help with that.

Put a few drops of tea tree oil on the toothbrush top it with toothpaste, and then brush teeth. Tea tree oil can also cure gum disease, which is possibly the cause of her bad breath. More useful remedies at

The bad breath comes from the stomach most of the time, take her to a Chinese doctor , they understand a lot about anything.

This may be too simple, but I started brushing my tongue whenever I brushed my teeth (not too far back so you don't choke) and cured my bad breath (I think!).
