Urgh my flatmate used to do this too. He smoked like 40 a day and it drove me insane - especially as I have given up and I dont want it around me as I loathe it.

Tell him you're moving out WITH the bf and that you're really pi$$ed off at him. Thats what I did, and the smoking stopped!!!! But you have to be really firm, dont take the sensitive approach they need discipline.

In addition, passive smoking can lead to cancer. A smoker is 15 times more likely to develop lung cancer, as well as other respiratory problems like aggravating your asthma. Smoking is NASTY antisocial and unsensitive to your problem. Your guests will think you're dirty if they come over and the place stinks of smoke.

I know I sound harsh but I really hate it.

Good luck getting him to live up to the original agreement. I quit smoking 34 years ago because the smoke made my pregnant wife sick. I have since determined that I was a rare breed of smoker, one who cared about how others felt. Most couldn't care less.

This is not paranoia it is your lifetime health. While it may only be a problem while you are young, with age you will be one of the people that has to be on oxygen much of the time.

MOVE OUT.

You have every right to be concerned about your health. Secondhand smoke kills, that's a known fact. If you require further info on the effects of secondhand smoke, click on this link : http://www.quittingsmokingtips.com/secondhand-smoke.html
