I have really long hair about to my waist. I have been dying it blue black for 10 years. I have thick blunt cut bangs. I have an apointment tomarrow for a color cut and style. I am keeping the blue black hair color and I was thinking about cutting my hair into a long bob, the length would be about to my collar bone. I am nervous about this, I have had long hair my whole life. Do you think I should cut it.

Well on saturday the day after I posted my questin I cut my hair into a collar length bob. I donated my long hair (about 12 inches of it) to locks of love. Im not so sure about my hair though, I think it is going to take some getting used to.

maybe you could cut it to just below your shoulders and have loose curls/waves put in, like Bettie Page

Yes. As a guy, I think collar bone length is the hottest length for most women. While really long hair is better than short hair, I personally don't much care for it. Besides, how are you going to feel on your deathbed if you never took that chance to change your hair length? If only...you'll say. If only you'd known what another length was like. And besides, if you don't like it, hair does grow back---eventually.

Its your choice.
Maybe when you get there, ask if it'll suit you and see what they think.

Or they could cut off two inches at a time and they'll say "do you still want to go shorter".

It would definitely be a change, and a cute one...as I love bobs.
Do what feels right. =)

WOW...
well your hair sounds like it's gorgeous.
i wouldn't cut it completly off. (maybe like a 2-4 inch trim)
unless you really are sick of it and want something new, but if you nervous about it and having second thoughts maybe you should wait till your absolutely sure!
:)
