Myocarditis means inflammation, it means inflammation of the Heart Muscle. Because the Heart muscle is irritated, it can cause symptoms like: fatigue, chest pain, arrhythmias, this are experienced when this condition is present, and ECG changes will be seen like ST depression for example. It is treated with antibiotics because it can bring other conditions in the Heart like valve vegetation which means infection of the valve, so the Cardiologist will prescribe you the right meds for this condition. As long as the treatment is done, it will prevent farther complications.
