Lasers, freezing, acids, burning and surgery are done in your doctors office.

At home treatments are Aldara or Condylox

• Standard therapies for GWs can remove most warts; however, there is no ideal treatment for all warts and all patients.
o Caustics/acids - 80-90% bichloracetic acid (BCA) or trichloroacetic acid (TCA)
o Podophyllin resin - 10-25% or 0.5% podofilox solution or gel (Condylox)
o Imiquimod 5% cream (Aldara) - 3 times per week, up to 4 months (A recent article reported that the optimal duration of use for women's genital warts may be 1 month.)
Treatment is aimed at destruction of the warty growths rather than elimination of the virus.

your scrotum is part of your genitalia, so yes it is a genital wart, it was not very smart trying to cut the wart off yourself, you can develop serious infection or damage yourself in other ways, seek medical help, their are wart removal medication that your Dr. can prescribe.

i only had 2 little ones (so far). my gyn got rid of them by injecting me with pain reliever (yes, down there) and i believe what she did was cut them, because i was bleeding there for awhile. but they're totally gone. i couldn't see what she was doing, so i'm not 100% sure.

she said that you can have HPV for years/forever and not develop warts or more warts, or you can get it bad. she said it largely depends on your immune system surpressing the virus. she said i must have been stressed when i got them, and to take vitamins.

and so far, knock on wood, i haven't gotten any more of them. at least i know it is a simple trip to the gyn. yes, the injection is uncomfortable, but it feels so good on the inside to get rid of them. i just felt better about myself when they were gone.

The only two methods I have heard of are burning (laser) or freezing them off. You go to a clinic of some sort to get it done.

Either way, they'll come back.

do you mean genital warts? anyway, freezing is the most common method of removing any wart, genital or general.
