Lets say I have symptom of sleep apena or do really have sleep apena, can I buy CPAP online by myself and try it out? or do I must be presribed by doctor and take sleeping test? if I do buy CPAP, will it be harmful without doctor telling me to buy?

Cpap is a unit that requires a prescription just like a drug. You need to see a sleep specialist in order to get one. Not only that they will be able to better acknowledge what is truly going on with you and determine what pressure you need the cpap to be on. depending on your respiratory situation you may need a different type of unit such as a bipap or Servo ventilation which differ from cpap. If you just get a cpap without the proper pressure it will not benefit you.

You should be seen by a qualified sleep specialist who can determine how much if any pressure you would need to keep your airway open. If you snore, you have at least a partial airway obstruction, if you stop breathing for a period of time, you have sleep apnea. Many people who have sleep apnea do not drop their oxygen level into the danger zone. Ideally, your oxygen should be at 95-100% on room air. Don't put your faith in me, go see your doctor. Sleep apnea can cause heart disease, stroke. hypertension. According to the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and American Cardiology, there is a direct correlation between heart disease and obstructive sleep apnea. get tested and good luck

If you have money to throw away you can buy about any thing. The sleep "study thing" is more than how much you sleep, it is what your Oxygen saturation in your blood is so the pros know what to set the machine at. It could be harmful especially if you do not know any more about it than you seem to.......
