From an omnivore---
I have never tried the big Tofurkey whole shaped turkey breast, but their deli slices are better than the real turkey slices. I would think the whole fake turkey would be okay. Just be sure to eat it at that setting. None of the fake meat products reheat very well.
One word of advice, though. For some reason, a few vegetarians like to spring fake meat on their carnivore friends. If this is your plan, the holidays are not the time to experiement.

I like Tofurky but with an alternate marinade: 3T of soy sauce (or Bragg's), 1t of ground sage, and 3T olive oil. Toss half of the marinade with the tofurky and veggies (add in some potatoes and carrots!) and wrap it all up in foil and close. Cook as directed, depending on if it's thawed or frozen. About 3/4 through cooking, add the rest of the marinade. I really love it this way and make it probably 3x per year.
The leftovers are to die for, with the stuffing still inside, on a sandwich. Try Hain vegetarian instant gravy, its really low cal and you just add water. Yum! Or try the Chickpea Gravy from Vegan with a Vengeance if you want something more special to top it off with.

As I've said before, I hate to buy prepared/processed foods, BUT, I have to admit that I love Tofurkey roast. I have it every Thanksgiving. It's really only enough food for 2-3 people max.

My husband and I just tried the Tofurkey brand "turkey" last night and we both really liked it. The gravy and stuffing is really good, and the "turkey" has the taste and texture of turkey loaf (I used to eat meat). We plan to have it again for Thanksgiving.
We've had several of their other products and they are pretty tasty too, just a bit salty and sometimes dry if you overcook them. I find them best with lots of condiments or cooked in things - like sausages cooked with peppers, onions, etc.

Opinions vary.
I think the Tofurky roast is disgusting. I LOVE the deli slices on sandwiches or salads though, especially the hickory. The brats/sausages are somewhere in the middle. They're good but not my thing. I prefer plain boring veggie dogs.

I love it and my un-vegetarian brother prefers it over the real thing. I just follow the instructions on the box and it turns out perfect. The sauce is really tasty too. I say go for it! You'll never know unless you try.
Oh and you betcha I'm making it for thanksgiving this year.

The first year I made Tofukey it was disgusting, the next year was okay, but last year I finally perfected it. I just used the creole injectors and cooked it just like a turkey and it tasted wonderful. Keep it moist with margarine, olive oil, or ghee.

Tofurkey is not great.
Try the Quorn roast. It's delicious, if you make it right.

I tried it once, firstly it tastes nothing like turkey but more like dried up cardboard. But if your veg*n then its not the taste in why you are eating it.
