It found me at the end of all my hopes and dreams. Everything was destroyed. I became open enough to see. I know chaos and it knows me, in sadness there is beauty.

The Universe is not in constant chaos, The Universe is actually so well structured that we are able to see and think, therefore we ARE, and that didn't come out of a mish-mash, it came out of an order that we will never be able to comprehend, let alone explain. "If you are going on a hike in the Forest, in the middle of nowhere, and you found a watch, and you checked the time with your own watch, and it is the same, Do you think that the watch just came out of the wood-works? or maybe someone lost it, therefore it had to have been made" Same with the Universe, do you think that the waves have the rhythm they do, just because, or the beehive is exactly like the next just by chance, or that the seed becomes a tree just cause it had to mutate? When I close my eyes and think of love, I have a smile in my face, and when I open them end am able to see around me, I am thankful for what I have. I will NEVER say that the Universe is in a constant Chaos. Why? Because I found my spirituality, and that keeps me going.

I'm pleased you've included "spiritual" in your question, Bootz.. Words (their flavors and nuances, etc.) are less than perfect in conveying ideas, for each one comes from her/his own background and influence, an individual "context," so to speak. So many have trapped "religious" and "spiritual" and even "path" into limited, specific concepts. But in the spirit of your question, I'll answer from the heart. I grew up with no religious upbringing (my mother was sick of church 3x and week as a child), but, as is true of all, was somehow exposed to others who were, so a curiosity was seeded. This curiosity took me to 2-3 churches (without family) as a child. Then not until I was an adult working in a major downtown area did I explore bookstores where I was "attracted" to metaphysical concepts. From there, with many side trips this way and that, much exploration took place; yet in all this I was expanding. I feel no side trip was wasted for each was a building block to bring me to this moment. So, at least in my case, the "chaos" was the very thing that drove me to search for understanding and peace. I am not sure that I have chosen my "spiritual path" so much as it has chosen me. I do feel confident that all is in order for myself, and I have faith that all is perfectlon within the chaos. If I stay awake in the moment, all is revealed. I need only trust my "true nature" to show me the way. You might be interested in checking out BeiYin's web site (see my contacts). His approach is based on trust and so much more. Thank you for adding a deeper layer of consideration and inquiry to this forum's dialogue. You've opened the door to reasonable conversation with your sincere and respectfully worded question. I am Sirius

You see constant chaos? When? Like when massive dust clouds form into planets and stars? When water turns to ice and polarity lines the molecules up? When warm air rises and cold air falls? Etc...

Seems that there is more order in the universe than chaos or maybe more accurately, just as much order as chaos. I guess you could call it constant since chaos is ever present. But you could rephrase the question to say in a universe of constant order and have it make as much sense. Or at least that's this humble atheist perspective.

I was raised for 20 years as a Jehovah's Witness. They did not like the fact that I was a free thinker and asked a lot of questions. When I left the religion I decided to make an educational decision on religion and looked at all that was before me for religious choices. I found things that did and didnt fit me in each religion. I read different versions of the bible and asked myself what was the lessons it was trying to teach me. I finally decided on Wicca because it best fit me, but my spiritual side is I try to be the best person I can be. I wake up each day and try to learn something new, I treat people as I wanted to be treated and I believe if you do something good for someone they in turn will do something good for someone else.
I have had my hard times in life. My family and I were homeless for four months this year. I found that whenever we were at our worst something happened to help us out. There has to be a higher being out there looking after us but it wont help us unless we are willing to help ourselves. I guess what I am saying is follow your heart, if it feels right it probably is. Just dont forget to help your fellow man. Someday you to may need the help.

Chaos is an illusion. There's a complex pattern to existence that can be modeled with Mandelbrot fractal geometry. It's the limits of your fore brain to perceive the larger picture that makes you think you are observing chaos. Religion is the way humans find some order within their limited perception.

Yes, I've found my place in the Universe, the Great Mother Goddess of whom we are all parts.

I'm a more scientifically inclined person so I tend to believe only in things I can see or experience for myself. My spiritual path began when my English 102 class went into great detail on transcendentalism. It was a great experience and really put into words the feelings that tend to come naturally to me. Currently I'm going down the path of the Shaman. The Way of the Shaman by Michael Harner was a great start for me and the experiences that I've had are really out of this world.

Order always comes out of chaos. I may have chosen the individual steps along my path; I may have wandered from the path at points; but to a large extent my path has already been laid before my feet. I have but to walk it. When I choose not to walk it, though, I do not find the harmony and resonance of life and Love which fulfill me.

Peace to you.

My feeling is that everything is perfectly unfolding.
I know my place in this dynamic way.
I was chosen from within, then found the true source of love.

For the first part: By being shunned from the religions I was introduced to.

The second: Yes....the order of causing chaos and disrupting the very order I am part of.
