There is NO cure for herpes. Once a person has the virus, they have it forever.
There are medications that can help get rid of the sores, but it's not a cure. Over the counter medications like Abreva or Herpecin-L can help speed up the healing process of cold sores. There are also prescription medications that can be used like valtrex, famvir, and acyclovir.
It's NEVER a good idea to pick at a cold sore. This will only make it worse and possibly spread the virus to other parts of your lips.
Good luck!

I got diagnosed with herpes virus (type 2) about six yrs ago, while I was still in college and had a mindless one-night stand. I realize loads of young ladies will declare this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a mistake that one time and all of a sudden I felt like I was going to have to live with the implications for my entire life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. After all, who wants to go out with someone that has sores around her you-know-what? But since a friend shared this movie https://tr.im/w4FRg everything improved.
Not only was I able to clear away all traces of the hsv from my system in less than 3 weeks, but I was also able to start dating once more. I even met the man of my dreams and I'm so fortunate to write that just a week ago, in front of everybody in a packed restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!!! This system provided the opportunity to be happy and experience real love. Now I want to help you too by sharing this with the World.

Unfortunately there is no cure for herpes. Some creams, such as Abreva, can help the cold sore go away more quickly.

get some blistex!!! It works pretty damned fast or buy some Herpecin, that shyt works overnight. It will go down dramatically if you run out the door and buy some right now. And get some concealer (make up) to cover the red spot its going to leave... she will never notice. I know you arent going to do what I am telling you even though I am a doctor and know whats best for you.
