Did your doctors say if you are eligible for a lung transplant? What about pulmonary rehab? There are a lot of questions I have for you. But you should do what you feel capable of doing.

Yes I agree with the RN -- but remember too, that with your low lung capacity, you are also at risk for any major health issue that can affect you, ie respiratory ailments etc. And as we don't know in what locations outbreaks will occure, that can make your traveling more difficult. Try to travel during the seasons that are less prone to people being sick. Enjoy the time you have left by seeing and doing everything you are capable of. Good luck and God Bless you.

My grandmother has had COPD from interstitial lung disease for over 5 years now. I don't know what her lung capacity is but I know it's really low. However, she doesn't let it stop her from doing as much as she can. She does sit and be fit classes, gets together with friends in her assisted living building, and gets out an about with her family when we have a special function. Don't brood on the "end" but enjoy as much of the "now" as you can. Best wishes, Bob!

bob the doctors can't tell, there is no way to tell, some people die when their capacity goes below 15% so you have already beaten the odds.....as you lose capacity, the body does adjust to the lack of oxygenation...to a point. No one can say where that point is for you. I think if you feel capable of doing any kind of activity, then you should go for it.
