SVT stand for SupraVentricular tachycardia

This is to say, a tachycardia (or rapid heart beat) that has originated Supra Ventricularly - i.e. above the ventricles or in other words from the Atria of the heart.

Supraventricular tachycardia. Translation--your heart is beating too fast, but the heart rhythm looks close to normal on an EKG because the electrical signal is still coming from the top of the heart (the atria).
