Cold sores (oral herpes) can be spread by kissing someone who has them. But, cold sores are NOT a STD because the most common way of contracting them is by kissing someone who has them, not by sex like most genital herpes cases.
Herpes simplex virus 1 and 2 cause both cold sores and genital herpes. Cold sores are usually caused by herpes simplex virus 1, while genital herpes are usually caused by herpes simplex virus 2.
There are other illnesses and colds your cousin can get from kissing someone, like a common cold or even mono, but these are NOT STDs.
If your cousin is concerned she might have caught something from kissing someone then she should see her doctor and have them take a look at her and/or test her for herpes. Take care!

Well, there's lots of STD's that people are now getting in their throats from having oral sex with someone who is infected. So, there "may" be some cause for concern. Call planned parenthood and ask.

he is not he probobly has AIDS or herpes or even warts u dnt want any of them especially herpes AIDS isnt as bed as the media makes it out to be so it shortens ur life by like 30 years, who wants to be old any way
