I do not know the exact quote in the Bible but there is a verse that explains that animals were created by God for the use of humans to provide for food and clothes.

Is there a connection with atheists and being for animal rights because if you do not believe in God then you feel that humans and animals are on the same level?

No, I don't think so. In fact, I think you might be a bit misinformed.

I don't know what verse you can be referring to, because God's original plan seems to be for humans to eat only plants.

"I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food" Genesis 1:29

God didn't give permission to eat animals until after the flood.

"Everything that lives and moves will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything." Genesis 9:3

In addition, the promised end of the world where Jesus comes down and makes the world righteous is described as a place/time when even the animals are vegan/herbivores

"The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them. The cow will feed with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox." Isaiah 11:6-7

I personally am a vegetarian and a Christian and I firmly believe the two ideals are compatible. I do not believe that being vegetarian is something mandated by the Bible. Nor do I believe that being a vegetarian is condemned by the Bible. The Bible can't fully talk about vegetarianism since the concept didn't exist in Biblical times in the same way it does today.

Being a vegetarian is something I chose to do because of the way animal slaughter is done at this point in history. I don't think animals and people are on the same level, I just feel they deserve way more respect and care than they get.

In any case, it doesn't matter because the Bible does say that we shouldn't judge each other for what we eat.

"He who eats meat, eats to the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who abstains, does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God. For none of us lives to himself alone and none of us dies to himself alone. If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord." Romans 14:6-8

An atheist mostly a non-believer of God only and for all other things they are like others with all human temptations, tendencies and temperament having all overtures in food and other habits!

But in an intellectual philosophical knowledge for acceptance, adoption and persuasion, an atheist needs to be also humane in applying and practicing the law of natural selection for the evolution of species and the right of all species to live equally for the life and happiness to complete their survival as we do and the killing to eat their meat ( eating the dead animals meat, a horrible thing!) is morally violates the principle of atheism and hence the VEGETARIANISM is one of the deeply committed part of atheist to live in par with all species equally on Earth !

Not necessarily. There are atheist/agnostic veg*ans and religious veg*ans (there is actually a Christian vegetarian group). There are also atheist/agnostic omnivores and Christian omnivores.

There are Christians who believe that the dominion humans were given over the animals means "stewardship" and Xtians who mistake dominion for domination. There are atheists/agnostics who dislike the messages in the bible and have a moral/ethical sense not tied to any higher power, but I guess you could say a matter of conscience.

It has nothing to do with not believing this or that verse in the Bible.

The same people who question the validity of religious teachings (all of them, not just Christianity) are by their very nature going to get around to questioning mankind's exploitation of animals. A precious few in our society never stop questioning, and the vast majority never start.

7:19). As with anything, each and every Christian should pray for guidance as to what God would have them eat. Whatever a person decides to eat is acceptable to God as long as we thank Him for providing (1 Thessalonians 5:18). 1 Corinthians 10:31 declares, "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."

NO !
Atheists are NOT anti-christians. What ever could not believing in god have to do with a retarded idea like "animals and humans are on the same level"? I find that really insulting and stupid to even consider.

I did not know the animal rights was a atheist thing. But the buybull does say I can kill your children.

Exodus 21:15, 17 both say that if a child hits or curses his father, he is to be killed.

Leviticus 20:9 says that if a child curses his mother or father he is to be put to death.

Deuteronomy 21:18-21 requires stoning to death any child who is stubborn or rebellious.

Proverbs 22:15 says you should beat your foolish children with a rod.

Its thrilling what you state, because of fact in factor of reality which contain your anology black people did no longer rely and it became into no crime to shoot a china guy returned in the 1800s. Animal rights do rely and that i detect it very exciting as quickly as I pay attention people rant on with reference to the which potential of existence yet justify killing and ingesting animals!! there are so called non secular people who think of its okay to kill animals and communicate with reference to the humane way of doing it - ie maintaining them happy and contented till the massive homicide day - how pathetic. yet in factor of reality the killing and ingesting of animals is huge unfold and is universal and individuals have a tendency to categorise people who carry forth to them in any different case as lovers. I commonly make it a factor of telling people i'm a vegetarian because of fact i admire animals yet I dont carry forth and as quickly as I am i able to tell people of the 1000's of vegetarian and vegan recipes yet I bypass away it at that. Any social exchange is a sluggish technique and its a rely of merely perservering. additionally its a huge funds marketplace the killing of animals and that's a great hurdle to bypass. additionally your human being analogy of black people no longer mattering is very pertantant because of fact while the salve commerce became into taking place black people have been traded as livestock and finished black households bought and seperated for the almighty greenback - exchange took place albeit slowly yet while the exchange exceeded off it moved very quickly and in time people will keep thinking the appropriateness of mass slaughter and of slaughter properties. sustain the sturdy paintings. additionally I replied yet another question the day merely before this and that i downloaded 113 vegetarian and vegan recipes names, and that i'm left wandering why persons are so obsessed that meat is so important to the burden-alleviation plan while there are literally 1000's of nourishing vegetarian nutrition to be made that kill no animals yet i assume people might desire to paintings it out themselves.

Sorry to debunk, but I'm a meat eating atheist.

I believe humans are animals. I believe animals eat animals. I believe, given the chance, animals would eat us in a second. We are part of nature. Some of us didn't change our whole lives because Bambi's Mom got killed though. It's the circle of life.

Anyone who doesn't believe humans are animals has a serious dose of ego going.
