Okay, so I already have Bigeminal PVCs. Chest Pain everyday (sharp, little stabs). That, sadly, is normal for me. I am 20, not overweight, relatively healthy I would say.

Today however, I have a new feeling in my heart. It kind of tickles and is really irritating. I don't like it. I don't know what it is but I want it to stop. Is this something worth seeing the doctor for? I'm tired of going and hearing that everything else is too normal and I am too young to have any real problem. I would rather keep my $20 copay.

Thanks a bunch!

Heart problems and irregular beats do not run in my family.

I don't have atrial fibrillation. Just bigeminal pvcs, as far as i know.

Sounds like you are quite worried about it.

If everything is normal, you probably don't have very much to worry about - and anxiety can cause odd feelings in the chest all by itself ... palpitations and the like.

However, if there is something really worrying you about your heart or chest or breathing, surely $20-00 is a small price to pay for a doctor's opinion on the matter.

If it's a new sensation that you've not experienced before, it might be worth the $20 bucks to let them check ya out again. Do rhythm problems run in your family? You could be having a different arrythmia that they could check out with a 24 hour monitor to see. Have you ever had afib (atrial fibrillation)?

Well I'd go to the doctor and cry, kick and scream for some more tests just to be sure. Of course it's expensive to do these tests. That's why I like the VA hospital, they will do them and they don't worry about what they cost.
