If you have HPV and then your body rids you of it and you have normal Pap Smears after, can you then use Gardasil so you wont get HPV in the future?

Of course, darling! It will protect you from the strains that you haven't been exposed to.

Yes, for most part. Gardasil guards against 4 of the leading strains of HPV. It is highly unlikely for a person to carry all 4 strains at once, so even if you have/had HPV, you can still get some protection from the vaccine.

Of course, if you do have all 4 strains, you may have to rethink some of your lifestyle choices and/or adopt some safer sex practices.

Gardasil doesn't cure HPV that has already been acquired, and women will still need their annual Pap smears.
