What has heart to do with emotions and emotional thinking?. When we feel more emotional, does heat beat faster or does it cause any functional degradation? What is the link between the emotions in the brain and heart? Why do doctors advice heart patients not to get too emotional or do anything that will make them emotional?

some say that during the first 3 weeks of the baby inside the womb, the heart was the first to show then next is the nervous system ( which includes the brain), so that 1 reason , i think that many people link emotions to the heart!

but i think heart has nothing to do with the emotions, it is actually the brain whos working on it, the " hyphothalamus", which is responsible for our emotions.
somehow the brain is connected to our heart, some parts of the brain is responsible for the bloof pressure, sugar level of our body, ...etc. so may be thats why.

i think it's because whenever we feel emotional about something, our heart beats with a different frequency -like whenever we feel limerent about someone our hearts beat rapidly from the fantasies, or when we feel enraged about something or someone our heart beats uncontrollably.

It has been documented (PBS HEART PROGRAM) that your heart can stop by emotions, thus the saying "broken heart".
