Suggest you go to a reputed hospital and get a cardiac check up. Most good hospitals offer a comprehensive cardiac check up. The tests include a lipid profie test (testig for good and bad cholestorol and triglycerides), blood pressure check up, blood sugar check up and ECG. Also recommend one of stress test or echocardiogram. This set of tests should cost you around Rs.1000 (without stress test or echocardiogram) and additional Rs.800-1000 for stess test.
Persons over 30 yrs old are recommended to have a cardiac check up ever 5 years and persons over 40yrs are recommended a check up every 2 yrs.
One should never ignore the symptoms that you have. Heart Attack symptoms can come in the form of pain in the chest shoulder, back or arms. In many cases they are mis interpreted as indigestion or muscle pulls. In rare cases even a tooth ache can be a manifestation of a heart attack. Pls go and get an ECG done (costing Rs.500) immediately at the nearest hospital or nursing home. Ask someone to drive or take you there.

It is ,in that it does have some affect ( broken heart ) something that most of us have had at some point in our lives, but no it's probably not in the medical sense, more like psychosomatic . You can take that to mean if you really think there's something wrong, then there is. Under normal conditions a psychosomatic condition can be helped with psychosomatic " Medicine " placebo. Love of course can be entirely different especially when it's not mutual I actually am an authority on this condition, something I would rather know nothing about. Also many people are in Love with the idea of being in Love .This is quote I believe to be mine " LOVE can be either the BEST thing to ever happen to you or the WORSE thing to ever happen to you"

Body reflects the ailment in the form of a pain. The pain is due to various factors may be due to acidity, lung congestion etc., You have to analyse is this pain experienced for the first time. Take rest. You make the paste out of 1 tea spoon honey, 1/4 tea spoon cinnamon powder with warm water and smear the places you are feeling pain. If it subsides, you need not worry. If it persists then you take the mixture of 1 tea spoon honey, 1/4 tea spoon of cinnamon powder with warm water, twice a day. It will make your heart strong and not to vary.

Best luck i guess is to go for blood test and check on your cholesterol level. Sometimes over worrying makes you think you feel the pain.
But best suggestion is, go to a proper heart specialist doctor. Though sometimes if the heart test passed it might be your arteries that is clogged. Which is very hard to be tested unless you go through an X-ray.

Yahoo! (As Fun and Interesting as it may be)... Is not a proper place to ask such important questions.
My GUESS (of course I am a stay at home mom and not a doctor) Is not you have not been properly checked!
Please return to your Dr's office and request more tests! In the event he is not competent enough to do so, ask to be referred to a cardiologist, or a more experienced Dr.
Hope this Helps!

You may be able to tell if your chest pain (angina) is related to physical exertion, that's why the Dr. always wants to do a stress test. By exertion, like walking briskly, if the pain increases, then it could be your heart.

they kept giving her drugs to release pain thinking it was just hedaches, one day she came home after her visit and died at her house of a brain tumor.
