I think you'd be ok in the jello (that must be some fundraiser-- what a lucky charity!)-- because the gelatin would suffocate those little suckers.
The pool, now that might be a problem-- can crabs swim??

crabs are an infestation of the pubic hair by crab lice, they are spread by having close physical contact with someone who has them. They are most often spread by sexual contact, but they can also be spread by having contact with infested clothing, bed linens and toilet seats. I don't think you could get them being in water with someone who has them. jello wrestling? possibly especially if they were on your clothes and went to someone else clothes. Crabs are very treatable. Go see a frikin doctor!!
Just to let you also know- up to one-third of people who have pubic lice also have some other sexually transmitted disease, I would get tested at your doctor and if you don't want your doctor to know I would advise you to go to planned parenthood, its a place just not for girls, guys can get STD testing too! It doesn't matter where you get it done STD testing is very importiant!
