Tofu has more protein than most meat. The protein contained in tofu is also more bio-available than the protein contained in meat/meat products. (This means that your body absorbs it better).
The other advantage of tofu is that it is one of the few protein sources that doesn't contain any chemical products or saturated fats so it is doesn't cause your body any harm at the same time as giving it protein.

Absolutely, it is derived from soy beans which are an excellent source of protein! The good thing about tofu is that it will absorb whatever spices/flavors you are cooking with.
