My story of becoming a vegetarian is a little funny and weird.
Last January I went and saw Charlotte's Web in the theaters. I was suppose to go to Taco Bell afterwards but seeing Wilbur just sealed the deal for me and I have not had meat since.
I did think about becoming a vegetarian a couple months before seeing the movie but if I didn't go to the theaters that day I would probably still be stuffing myself with meat right now.
I know, I'm crazy but in the end it turned out to be a great choice.

i think killing animals is cruel i dont regret my decision on becoming a vegetarian i know if i really wanted to i could start eating meat again. i feel much happier and healthier now that im a vegetarian
the way i became a vegetarian was whenever i ate meat i told myself i was eating a dead animal that probably had a name and was a pet of a child until the father told her it ran away when he actually took it to the butcher....
also what helped was that when i went to a summer camp i told them i had been a vegetarian for 3 years so i wouldnt eat meat so that they wouldnt know i was lying, but i wouldnt suggest doing that.

a few months after i stopped eating meat my friend talked me into trying a bite of her taco salad and i noticed i lost my taste for meat!

hope i helped and good luck

Yes, I'm happy with my choice. I became vegetarian for a variety of reasons. It's healthier, it's more environmentally responsible, I don't think that the best way of sustaining life is by consuming death, I believe animals have the right to live their lives without being tortured and exploited, and I think eating rotting corpses is pretty nasty.

I've always loved animals, but in Sept. 2006 I saw a video on how animals were killed for meat...from then on, I've been a lacto-ovo vegetarian. I'm much happier! I know that I'm not eating something that was once alive, or tortured. =) And, it's healthier!

In my case, it was a family history of heart disease, very high cholesterol, and having to spend six months on medication that would make my cholesterol worse. Plus I'm allergic to eggs, chicken, and turkey. The less I eat meat, the less I want to!
