jus wondering how many other people in here have diabetes besides me =]

There are too many of us to count.

In the US, between 7 and 10 percent of us are diabetic. (many don't even know they're diabetic).

Worldwide, the overall percentage is lower, but in countries like India, it's pretty high... something like 10 percent.

Here's another tidbit for those who don't believe me when I tell them that diet plays a major role in becoming type 2 diabetic: "The increased prevalence of diabetes in India has a lot to do with a switch from a traditional to a Western diet. We say that the traditional Indian diet is good for diabetes," Dr. Rao told me."

I have Type I Diabetes for almost nine years now and I am still having difficulties managing my blood glucose. I'm turning 21 in January and I'm still as hard headed as ever.

I have had type 1 since I was 10 and now i'm 21!

I have type 2 ,but my daughter was diagnosed type 1 4 months ago .
Im so proud of her she has adapted to her complete change of lifestyle.Saying that she has 1 problem she works nights ,can cause complication .She is only 22 and had been ill for some time befor she was diagnosed.

I do. I'm type 1 and have been for many years. I use a pump (Minimed Paradigm 722.
