Like PETA. now, dont go saying the lecture about how PETA isnt actually helping the animals.
i know all about that.
But other groups like PETA that actually do help animals..
so, how can i help them help animals?

become a vegan. volunteer at a local animal shelter. educate yourself and then educate others.

You can help animals in many ways. Some animal shelters offer foster service for the animals. That's where you take in a dog or cat, etc and let them live with you on a temporary basis or you can adopt an animal from an animal shelter. You can become a vegetarian or vegan. Local libraries usually have public meeting rooms that are free to use and you could help educate the public about helping animals too. You and your friends (if they would like to help?) could make flyer's and a presentation of some kind, check websites to see if they have anything you can send for that would be useful or maybe they can help with ideas.

First, go vegan.
If you live near another organization that helps animals, such as Viva!USA, Mercy for Animals, or Compassion Over Killing, contact them and ask if they need a volunteer. www.vegweb.com lists animal rights and pro-veg organizations. There may be one that is headquartered near your home.
If there isn't, you can order leaflets from one of them, stand near a place that has a lot of foot traffic, and hand out leaflets for an hour or so.
As others have suggested, volunteer at a local shelter.
If you haven't done so--and you have the wherewithal to care for an animal--adopt from a shelter.

Don't eat them, feed your neighborhood strays then catch them and bring them to the vet to get neutered and checked out and find them happy homes. You can get a certificate for some money off the expenses from friends of animals

i am glad that there are people who whant to help animals!!!good for you!!!actually i was wondering the same thing...well i dont think voluntering at an animal shelter is a good idea because they kill animals there if they stay more than 6 months....welll adopt a homeless animal!!!good luck!!!!! :).

become vegetarian,go to a shelter and adopt pets that are i serius need of a good home.
volunteer at a shelter aslo!
go to your local humane society and check out any programs they have there
im glad your tryin to help animals!
