If you eat right, yes, it's healthy. This means eating fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans, and nuts and trying not to have too much junk food (and believe me, there's plenty of vegan junk food out there). There are analogues out there as well to make it easier to transition and be vegetarian.

If you're interested in going vegetarian, go to www.cok.net and ask for a vegetarian starter guide. In the meantime, check out www.vegweb.com for recipes and resources for veg*ans (that's shorthand for "vegetarians and vegans"). There are many books out there for teenage and preteen vegetarians, so see if your parents will get you them. Since you are a preteen, you will need their support to do this. Make sure you answer all their concerns with facts, not emotion.

If you eat the right foods it is healthy i was once vegetarian but stopped not too much longer afterwards but if you don't take care of yourself and go overboard with everything it is unhealthy. It would be better to not go vegan though because of your age and it depends on what you can and can't eat. There are a lot of foods you can eat as a vegetarian or as just a person who eats meat as well.

i'm a vegetarian! i understand what you recommend. that's not effortless to impression the non-greens. in the experience that your husband could have cheese I enormously advise something that good factors it. two times baked potatoes could be great. different recommendations for a BBQ might desire to be potato salad, quiche, or in line with danger a quinoa salad could be a great concept because of the fact it has finished proteins whilst nonetheless being vegan. i do no longer advise bringing pretend meats, because of the fact besides the reality that i think of they are scrumptious they have an inclination to strange the less-accepting human beings out. i'm hoping that facilitates!

Step one: It's spelled vegetarian, not vegitarian.

Step two: Try going without meat for a week and see how it goes. It can be scary to say you're not going to eat meat for the rest of your life, so a week at a time might be a good way to start.

I was a vegetarian as a baby, as an infant, as a young boy, as a preteen, as a teen, and I'm still one as an adult. Why not?
