A vegan is a type vegetarian that doesn't wear leather, doesn't eat meat of course, doesn't eat cheese or drink milk, doesn't eat eggs or anything of the sort because they all come from animals and they also won't eat any honey because it comes from bees. Vegans usually also don't go to some things that exploit animals as well.

As my mom put it, an extreme vegetarian.

Basically, a vegan avoids all the things vegetarians do--animal flesh, gelatin, rennet--and also avoids any products resulting from the exploitation of animals, such as milk and all dairy products, eggs, honey, silk, wool, leather, fur, animal circuses, zoos, and rodeos. Vegans will not use products tested on animals, nor with animal ingredients in them. So I will look for vegan soap made by a company that does not use animal testing.

A vegan is a person that doesn't use or consume any products that are the result of anumal exploitation. Veganism is a lifestyle whereas vegetarian is a diet only.

You can see the official vegan definition at the Vegan Society website. It's not the original definition though. It was changed to make vegan status more obtainable.

Someone who doesn't eat any animal product at all, not even milk. Most food is also as raw as possible. Whole grains, organic veggies & fruits play a large part of the diet. Most Vegans use soy products also.

Vegetarians don't eat any meat.
Vegans don't eat any meat, + they don't eat any animal products, such as milk (and therefore cheese, yogurt, sour cream or chocolate containing milk, or cookies containing milk), eggs (and therefore no cookies containing eggs), honey (and therefore no sweets containing honey). Also, no gelatin as it includes animal something - and this can also go for vegetarians as a no-no.
Depends on how strict you want to be. Thus, vegans can also refuse to wear any leather clothes, or animal fur coats.
Some medicines may contain extracts of animal something, such as those fish oil supplements of Vitamin E - and well, vegans as well as vegetarians will refuse such a product.

A vegan is someone who seeks to exclude the exploitation of animals from their lifestyles. A vegan doesn't eat meat, eggs, dairy, or anything containing animal products, like whey, casein, or gelatin. Vegans don’t wear leather, fur, or wool, buy products from companies that conduct non-required animal toxicity tests:

Or frequent zoos, rodeos, circuses, or other places where animals are held in captivity or forced to perform.

I've been vegan since conception, and can't imagine giving my money to industries that torture animals. (Or eating pus, blood, sh*t, and steroids, but that's another story...)

A vegetarian doesn't eat meat, chicken, or fish.

A vegan does the same, but also doesn't eat eggs and dairy.

Vegetarian-
someone that does not eat animals, some may not eat eggs or dairy or one of them as well.
Those who become vegetarian because of concern for animals do not wear or use any products that animals were tested, tortured, or killed to produce or obtain.

Vegans-
same as above but they also do not eat any animal by-products even if the animals were not killed to obtain them. Such as honey, eggs, dairy
