I am making reservations at a restaurant this year. I am not going to be stuck having to prepare all the food and then get stuck scrubbing all the pots and pans the rest of the day. As for the food choice...its a buffet so if anyone criticizes my choices they had better be able to back up the argument when I point at their plate.

Not sure yet if it'll just be my SO, the animals & me, or if other vegetarian family members will be here (as is usually the case but they may be travelling this year).
We'll have squash stuffed with brown jasmine rice, quinoa, sweet corn & other yummy things, home-made cranberry sauce, yams, fresh-baked bread, a green veg of some sort & pumpkin muffins. Beverage of choice: sparkling cranberry apple.
If other family members join us, I'll add Vegan Sweets marshmallows to the yams & prepare a mushroom dish.

Roasted Vegetarian Turky (by Quorn)

Mashed Potatoes
My famous Mushroom Gravy
A Sweet potato dish haven't decided which one yet
Noodle Kugle (my MIL famous recipe)
Corn on the cob
A green veggie haven't decided yet what
and an assorment of pies haven't decided what ones yet but
I'm thinking:

The local vegetarian society has a Thanksgiving celebration every year, and so my boyfriend and I are doing that. This year, it's a lunch cruise on the Potomac River in celebration of the organization's 80th anniversary.

Tofu stirfry, and I will have some stuffing and mashed potatoes and stuff from the traditional meal my family will have. They don't care what I eat.

We are killing a fatted lamb. There will also be lesser highlights, like fresh trout and duck, and the traditional "fixins" that compliment a large dinner. I feel sorry for my vegan cousins because even maw-maw's pie crust is made with generous scoops of lard.
I'm expecting to be well-fed and enjoy some fine times with family and friends. That lamb is being fed like a young prince right now...
