It's someone who's not a vegetarian, but eats a mostly vegetarian diet. These people are not the ones who go veg for moral reason. Generally, they feel that eating meat is either unhealthy or environmentally irresponsible, but will "treat" themselves once in a while, or just go with the flow if they can't find a suitable veg meal.
They are not vegetarians by any means, and really should not refer to themselves as such. They are, however, in general far healthier, particularly cardiovascularly, than they average omnivore.

A flexitarian is not a vegetarian. It is someone who eats vegetarian a significant portion of the time, but allows themselves to eat meat when it's somehow desirable to do so (like not ticking off the family at Thanksgiving or whatnot.) If you eat meat you're not a vegetarian, so the two terms do not properly go together. You're one or the other.

nicely, Ms. Tracie, looks such as you have lots of "squatters" right here. Like your hobby, Ms. I carry on with "chicken". besides the fact that if, I did have crimson meat as quickly as this 300 and sixty 5 days, and that became at a charity ribfest I subsidized for inner-city little ones. could no longer no longer devour ribs with them. Seafood is my famous and quite some the time, i'm waiting to reap my very own from my "front backyard". i'm uncertain what's the "healthiest" meat to incorporate in a flexitarian weight loss plan, i think of the purpose is "moderation" and stability and to make constructive that the main ingredient of the load loss plan is often plant-existence.

Here are some links to get you started . . . You can google "Flexitarian Diets" and get some good information there as well.
Flexitarian vegetarianism and veganism is fast growing trend to healthy and compassionate diets, while the old worn out vegans and vegetarians are on a decline.
I've been one for years and never had to take a supplement, been socially embarassed, forage for good, or give up having a life.
