geeze...some people are just idiots on here....not all of them..but some...

I'm very sorry to hear about your dad....Its hard to lose a family member...I know that from experience...
my question for YOU is what kind of job are you looking for? I work in an at&t call center and I hate it. Callcenters can come with alot of hidden stress...my boyfriend often tells me I'm too bitter all the time....
I'm looking for jobs in retail....some places pay 9-10$$ an hour. A friend of mine works at a super wal mart...she has only been there 8 months and she's making $10....so maybe try there???
Jc Penny pays well too....or Sears....
It might be tough to find a solid job right now...everyone's hiring for the christmas season....and then they lay everyone off....so good luck in finding that perfect job!
you can always put your resume on monster.com or some other job search engine...I did and I get offers everyday...try that maybe??

good luck with everything....I hope you'vemade it through your loss....

I'm very sorry for your loss. It is not an easy thing to digest.

Do remember that your current job is more stressful at the moment because you are a) Still coming to terms with your father's death and b) Because everything is new to you and you are in training. That's always the toughest time.

Stick with it for now, learn the job and it WILL become easier!

You need to take your time, be kind to yourself and let things settle before you make any decisions. If you can just stay in the call centre as long as you can, it is very stressful moving jobs and you have had a hard time lately. It will take a long time to mourn for your father and it is important you allow that process. I wish you well and understand how painful it is. Maybe next year you could review you career options and maybe go and study for something?

I am a substitute school teacher, it's nice to be a sub and although the kids can be stressful it's a great job. Contact your local board of education for an application. You can teach up to a year before taking the effective teachers training class at your local college. The class is 6 weeks and very rewarding. Good luck!

Sorry to hear about your Dad. Do you have anything you could sell on Ebay? That would help generate some extra income while you keep searching for a better job. Do you have any skills? Maybe you need to take a few classes to improve on the skills you might already have.

Sorry to hear about you father's passing. Just keep looking...something will turn up. Get out there every day and inquire. You have experience and you should be able to use your previous job or jobs as references. Don't give up and good luck to you.

What you need is to grieve the loss of your dad. When my dad died, it took months to feel like i could go on living, Just take your time to get it out of your system completely or it will keep coming back to haunt you and you'll never be free of the pain.x
