Hello. I was wondering if blood test ordered from your doc. would test for hiv? There is know reason I should have hiv. Only have been with one person and still with them and dont use and needles. I have three blood test at different times, so would they be testing for stds and aids? My symptoms started in my stomach. Daily nausea, mucus in stools, sore throat sometimes, headaches, and just feel like crap. Have had lots of gi test nothing found yet. But just wondering about those blood test.

Hi. Me again. No, they will not automatically test your blood without your permission. The 2 tests for HIV/AIDS are called the Western Blot test and the ELISA.

Unless he specifically orders an HIV test, it is not commonly done without your knowledge. You should specifically ask for the test.
