Taking "Vytorin"?

Question

Anybody taking Vytorin 10/20 notice any side effects? I'm also taking Exforge for hypertension. Thanx. Bob H.

Has lowered my lipids from > 400 to around 150. Don't think it's been on the market for 4 years, I am taking 10/20 since 2005 with no problems yet.

I'm on Vytorin 10/40. No side effects. My sister takes it also.

Side effects cannot be anticipated. If any develop or change in intensity, tell your doctor as soon as possible. Only your doctor can determine if it is safe to continue using Vytorin. Side effects may include - Allergic reaction including swelling of the face, lips, throat, or tongue, difficulty breathing or swallowing, or rash; flu; gallstones; headache; inflammation of the gallbladder; inflammation of the liver; inflammation of the pancreas; muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness; nausea; numbness or pain in the hands or feet; upper respiratory infection.
[simvastatin and ezetimibe are co-ingredients of Vytorin therefore, taking vytorin may rarely increase the risk of myopathy and serum transaminase elevations associated with HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors (i.e., statins). The mechanism of interaction is unknown. There are 1417 other drugs known to interact with amlodipine (ingredient of exforge) There are 60 other drugs known to interact with ezetimibe (ingredient of vytorin). There are 381 other drugs known to interact with simvastatin ( ingredient of vytorin). There are 751 other drugs known to interact with valsartan (ingredient of exforge). Your doctor would normally be conversant with these details.]

Dry hacking cough!! But that isn't why the doctor told me to quit taking it immediately. I took it for 4 years then got high potassium count.
