I just think vegans would be shocked at how much meat they actually consume. There are even meat by-products in Jello.

Um... Halloween is no more anti-Christian than Christmas trees or the easter bunny, but I have no idea how you think Chritstianity and veganism are linked in the first place.
Secondly, I've celebrated halloween all my life, and have been a vegan that long as well. Like it's that hard to buy candy that doesn't have animal parts in it. LOL Troll.

What the hell are you talking about? What does veganism and religion have anything to with each other? Since when is Halloween anti-Christan? I was raised Roman Catholic which is a form of Christianity and no my religion is not anti-Halloween. Since when can you not participate in Halloween activities without eating candy? What would a diabetic do?

I'm not really sure what the anti-Christian comment is about, so I'll just ignore it. But, aside from that, I have been Vegan for 10 years, and I honestly think it is ridiculous to give up Halloween because of your Vegan'ness. There are PLENTY of Vegan candies out there...Mike and Ikes, Sweet Tarts, Gobstoppers, sour patch kids...and a whole lot more. And to the person who claimed that he thinks Vegans would be suprised by the amount of meat they actually eat...well, that's kind of silly; most, if not all Vegans are very well informed when it comes to what is and what isn't Vegan...trust me...we all know Gelatin isn't ok for us.

I am speaking on just behalf of me and maybe some other vegans would agree. But, after being vegan for a while you tend to lose your sweet tooth for pure garbage candy. I like sweets but those like vegan ice cream and cookies but not like pure sugar halloween junk it upsets your stomach and you feel disgusted afterwards. Just my opinion.

Just because your extreme-Christian beliefs exclude you from Halloween activities. Don't be angry that people are having fun and collecting candy while you watch from your window. Just think you'll have salvation while everyone else has candy.

Raw, sliced okra just isn't as tasty as candy...bobbing for apples should be okay, and who says Vegans can't dress up and share the Halloween spirit?

Not true...
I'm a vegetarian, not a vegan, but still... most candy is animal-safe, at least you can check if it is. chocolate is also ok for me, but i'm guessing vegan is out.
But halloween is about the costumes and the party.... not about candy.

Vegans can't go trick-or-treating. Chocolate is made with milk and like you said, most other candy contains gelatin. Chances are slim that a house will be giving away one of the seven candies that Peta said vegans are allowed to eat.
