Not a problem. We'll fix it by changing your Normal style on the Normal.dot template. Here's how:
1. Close all open copies of Word.
2. Open Word.
3. Click on the File->Save As menu item.
4. In the "File of Type" list box, scroll down to Document Templates and select it. The directory should change and there should be a Normal.dot file in it. DON’T SAVE THE FILE. Press Cancel instead.
5. Click on the File->Open menu item.
6. Select Normal.dot.
7. Normal.dot should become your open document. Click the Format->Styles and Formatting menu item.
8. A sidebar should appear on the right with the style Normal selected in the lower listbox. Hover the cursor over it, then click the listbox down-arrow.
9 Select Modify from the pop-up menu.
10. Click the Format button, then Paragraph.
11. Under Spacing, set Line Spacing to Double.
12. Click the up-arrow in the After list box.
13. OK out of everything.
14. Save the file with File->Save. You may get a warning message about the Global template having been changed. This is OK. Click Yes.
Word sometimes leaves the last directory used incorrectly set, so be careful the next time you open or save (especially!) a file that Word's pointed at the right place.
Hope that helps.

In the Menu click on Format
Click on Paragraph
You will see a Line Spacing selection list on the right near the center
Set that to Double Space
You can also use the the "Space Before" and Space After" sets on the lower left to add additional spacing between paragraphs.

If you want 3 spaces between lines go up to the toolbar and look for an icon that has an arrow pointing up and an arrow pointing down and next to it on the right hand side some lines drop it down and choose 3 if you just want double spacing and sometimes an extra line between lines press ctrl and 2 and then hit enter. If you mean an actual visible line, go up to the tool bar and insert line.

Go to Format, Paragraph and Line Spacing. Select 2 lines! Too easy!
If you get stuck, type in double line spacing in help and follow the directions.

To get a double space between lines, go to Format > Styles and Formatting. You can change the 'Normal' template, or create your own (My Style) based on the 'Normal' template.
To change the template, click on Normal, then the down arrow, then 'Modify'.'Format'> 'Paragraph'. Change the Line Spacing, and OK. Check "Add to Template", and 'OK'. To create your own style, click on normal as above, then "New Style" , name your style, and create.
Double spacing words is not possible directly, but, select the whole document, Edit>Find. Make sure your cursor is in the left of the 'Find' box, backspace if required. then, hit 'Spacebar' once. On the 'Replace' tab, do the same, but hit the spacebar twice. Then 'Replace All'.
