The perfect dog is one that fits your lifestyle, years ago I had a 1/2 Chow 1/2 Wolf he was the best I traveled with lots of tools in the truck and needed a friend and guard dog and he was the best at both. I am older now and still travel on my job but mostly on a plane so I have a Chi I take him with me everywhere so at this stage in my life he is the perfect dog. Every house changes with a new addition and a dog that fits changes it for the best.

The perfect dog can be any dog, depending on how it fits with your lifestyle. I prefer Pitbulls myself, they are wonderful with children and adults and they are total lovebugs. They love to cuddle and be right next to their humans. There are so many wonderful dogs out there, but I would say the best dog is a rescued dog.

MY DOG, but too me that is true and he is a LAB. I love Labs they are the best and they are the perfect dog. But they are not for everyone, there is no one perfect breed for everyone person. All dogs are perfect, but more perfect dpending on you and your needs.

there is no such thing as perfect dog as there is no perfect person. Just as you you are not perfect and how can you expect a dog to be perfect.

I agree with drb. What is good for one person may not be good for another.
Here is a nice site that has dog stories. Each dog is the perfect dog to it's owner! I hope you enjoy it.

No such thing, every dog has some shortcomings of one sort or another. And, the dog that's just right for you, might be a total misfit for someone else.

If you are looking....go to a local shelter...ask yourself what type of lifestyle you have? how much room do you have? how much time to spend? dogs don't ask for much but be fair to both of you....I've had dogs all my life (never picked one they always seemed to find me) there has been a wide variety (usually large ones) dobermans, collies, hybrids, aussie, etc. each one was perfect. they are love in it's purest form!

The one who loves you, is smart, learns fast, and will amaze you with it's memory. Man's best friend? Yes, I have learned in sheer amazement that my dog surpasses in basic love, nobility, kindness, consideration and caring some of my best human friends. Dogs are loyal, do not scheme, do not forget you, they feel your emotions and empathize honestly with your pain and your happiness . Most important of all, their love never changes, fades or wears, it is there as long as they live.

my personal favorite is the pit bull i know they have a bad rep, but if you raise one from a pup they can be one of the sweetest and loyal dogs a family could ever have. they don't shed, easy to train, lazy unless you want to play then they have more energy than you. good watch dog because they are intimidating not mean. they do eat like a cow though.
