I think catholics are infallible, because when they try to reconcile both bible and pope they have to fabricate lies for a good reason and yet remain good.

Papal Infallibility

The Catholic Church’s teaching on papal infallibility is one which is generally misunderstood by those outside the Church. In particular, Fundamentalists and other "Bible Christians" often confuse the charism of papal "infallibility" with "impeccability." They imagine Catholics believe the pope cannot sin. Others, who avoid this elementary blunder, think the pope relies on some sort of amulet or magical incantation when an infallible definition is due.

Given these common misapprehensions regarding the basic tenets of papal infallibility, it is necessary to explain exactly what infallibility is not. Infallibility is not the absence of sin. Nor is it a charism that belongs only to the pope. Indeed, infallibility also belongs to the body of bishops as a whole, when, in doctrinal unity with the pope, they solemnly teach a doctrine as true. We have this from Jesus himself, who promised the apostles and their successors the bishops, the magisterium of the Church: "He who hears you hears me" (Luke 10:16), and "Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven" (Matt. 18:18).

The bible are writings of people inspired by God.

If you believe the one (Pope) declaring the writings in the bible true, then the bible is true.
If you don't believe, then that makes you won't believe the bible too.

There are proven errors in the Bible and this Pope is far from being a saint. The only one infallible is Dick Chaney (but don't go hunting with him).

The Pope is just as infallible as I am.

I am just as infallible as the Pope.

Come to think of it, so are you.

Only the Bible, God's Word, is infallible.

+ The Bible +

There is a fundamental difference between truth and fact.

It is true that God exists but I cannot prove it.

It is a fact that President Bush said he invaded Iraq because of weapons of mass destruction but it is not true.

Catholics believe that the Bible teaches truth about God but it is not historically factual at all times.

The Bible's primary purpose is to teach us the truth about God and His (or Her) love for us and how we should love each other, not to teach facts about history or science.

All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for refutation, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that one who belongs to God may be competent, equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

+ The Pope +

The Catholic Church teaches that the Pope is infallible at closely defined times.

The Pope is only infallible when he, in union with the body of bishops, solemnly teaches that a doctrine as true. This is called "ex cathedra", literally meaning in Latin "from the chair".

This comes from the words of Jesus to Peter (the first Pope) and the Apostles (the first bishops), "Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven" (Matthew 18:18) and "He who hears you hears me" (Luke 10:16).

At all other times the Pope can be just as wrong or sinful as you and me and be in need of forgiveness.

The pope is a human, just like you and I. He is not higher or closer to God than you or I. He will be judged the same and does not have any special favours with God.

The Bible is the living Word of God and the words in it are true forevermore because God does not lie.

The Pope is human, all humans are sinners, all humans are "fallible", therefore the Pope is not infallible.

The Bible is not human, it's not authored by a human, its Author is infallible, therefore the Bible is infallible.
