WOken up by noisy neighbour, so i wrote this letter, was i wrong to do it?

IT IS NOT YOU PERSONALLY BUT IT IS YOUR GUEST/WOMAN/LITTLE GIRL/BOOTY CALL WHATEVER ARRANGEMENT YOU HAVE WITH ONE ANOTHER.......

SEX IS SUPPOSED TO BE AN INTIMATE ACT, HOWEVER IT SEEMS NOT TO BE THE CASE WHEN I AM AWOKEN TO THIS GIRL MOANING LIKE AN ACTRESS WHO IS OWED AN OSCAR.

SHE DOES NOT SOUND GOOD. SHE SOUNDS LIKE A MAN.

I AM NOT SURE IF SHE IS PUTTING IT ON, YOU KNOW, LIKE BEING LOUD TO CATER TO YOUR EGO, MAKING YOU FEEL LIKE SOME SORT OF STUD?

IT IS THE OLDEST TRICK IN THE BOOK- SORRY TO BREAK IT TO YOU LIKE THIS BUT I THOUGHT A MAN AS OLD AS YOU ARE WOULD KNOW THIS!

YOU NEED TO TELL HER TO KEEP THE GOD DAMN NOISE DOWN, I HAVE HEARD GORILLAS COPULATING SOUND BETTER THAN HER. SURELY THIS MUST DO YOUR HEAD IN, PUT A PILLOW OVER HER HEAD OR SOMETHING!!! ACTUALLY, TONIGHT, SHE SOUNDED LIKE REGAN (THE GIRL POSSESSED) IN THE FILM THE EXORCIST, VERY APPROPRIATE WITH IT BEING HALLOWEEN I MUST ADD!

tell her to shut it, or she willnot like the way i will tell her

this is not the 1st time it has happened, i wrote a note before, but he obviously ignored that

INSTEAD I PUT A NOTE ON HIS POST BOX (IT IS A COMMUNAL POSTBOX)...

I had a neighbor who used to wake me and my mother up anywhere between 12am and 2am. I also wrote a letter, but it was very polite and did not indicate the type of noise that was being made. I think a letter is a good first step, but should only be done once. It is good you were able to take the 2nd one back. The 1st showed that you took initiative to try to solve the problem on your own before reporting. Your 2nd step, should be reporting to the leasing office. You want to be professional and not embarass the person too badly. Make sure you read your lease before doing this. Most leases have a clause about noise disturbance after certain hours. It doesn't matter the type of noise. The fact that it is breaking your sleep and is at night is reason enough to pursue the situation. I went through this whole spiel and it worked out fine. Well I hope you have got this off your chest. Have you posted the letter yet or can you still retrieve it?
This noise must have made you quite angry, but things said in anger or written down could have a way of biting you in the bum.

I think it would have been best with a quiet word to the neighbour...........if this is the first time that it has happened.

If you fall out with neighbours it can be a nightmare, best to try the friendly approach........good luck.

You should just have said

'This is your downstairs neighbour from number 15. There was quite a bit of noise coming from your flat last night and this has happened before. Would you kindly keep it down in the future.'

Then, if it happens again just write
' I wrote you a polite note asking you to keep the noise down, if this continues I will be forced to take further action'

Then if it happens again tell the building supervisor or call the police or whatever. Your original reaction was over the top and quite psycho.

You were very wrong to send this letter no matter how irate you were and no matter how much your neighbours bothered you with their noises. Your letter is abusive, rude, insulting and inflamatory.

No matter how angry you are, this letter is totally inappropriate. There are better ways to sort things out.

Your letter could also be taken as a threat and if I received a letter like that, I'd be taking it to the police.

I think the best way is to approach the landlord. Explain the situation. If this is "after hours", your neighbor is clearly breaking the rules. They are supposed to be quite during certain hours of the night.

But even during the say, the noise should be kept at a minimum.

I even have a neighbor basically like this, drives me nuts! and that i've got a 10 month old son! we've called the police... all condominium complexes dont submit with Pot on grounds.. checklist her to the criticism line of your county and save complaining after diverse situations she would be kicked out

The big questions are: Did you actually send the letter to your neighbor? Did you just post it here to get it off your chest?
If you actually sent it off to your neighbor, it's too late for guilt trips. Just hope he isn't the revengeful type or you're in deep. And you'll have no one to blame but yourself. If you only posted it here to vent, no worries. It's open to our judgments and is definitely rude but at least you feel better right?

You had no right to wright such a letter about personal intimate functions between two people.
The sex could not have lasted very long and I`m sure you could have put up with 30 minutes of sexual pleasure - most people would like that anyway.
I`m not surprised your letter went unanswered, they probably had a good laugh about it and now you are the laughing stock for being such a prude.
Just put up with it and wish them luck and stop wishing you were in his place!!

Silly, silly boy (I presume you are a boy since no way would a woman have written that, nor a mature man)..... I strongly suspect you may find yourself ingesting this note in a way nature did not intend.... you certainly would if you had sent it to me....
