yes it was a difference between two and three children specially in financial aspect on how your family will handle it, although it is much appreciated as a mother to raise a three children.

After number 1, I didn't find any of the rest any harder. As a matter of fact, by number 5, I was finding that it was much easier because numbers 1 and 2 helped a lot more:)
Financially, it didn't make too much difference because we already had a three bedroom house, and we are very vigilant about the utilities anyway. Christmas, birthdays, and food got progressively more expensive, but since we home school, school clothes weren't really an issue. Of course, the little ones get hand-me-downs, but each child always got two or three new outfits a year, and always new shoes.
You really have to look at your lifestyle and decide what is most important, and what you are willing to do without. I wouldn't trade anything for my children, they truly are a blessing.
My children are 21, 18, 16, 14, and 9 now and we are talking about having another in the near future.:)

Not really harder to cope with than 2 but it's harder on the middle child.
Financially yes it made a difference the hand me downs are worn out after two, family passes are usually for 2 children, you need a large car not a medium size car and need 4 bedrooms when they are older instead of 3. You get my point.

No, not really, because if they go to private school, you only pay for 2, and the poor soul gets all the hand me downs.
