Because of wanting the created beings to believe (and therefore submit, which necessarily follows the acknowledgement of having a benevolent Creator of infinitely higher intelligence) because they *want* to, not because they *have* to. To preserve that fine balance of having enough evidence there for each individual to pursue to the point of genuine belief on a solid foundation, without smacking it in their face before they have a chance to decide how they want to approach it. That is called love--not fear.

This must be accomplished with *all* individuals, *all* the time, throughout their massively complex interactions with one another. Therefore, all interventions are worked out in ways that could be interpreted naturalistically, if one did not desire to examine the other possibility too closely. In the rare instances in which it is recorded that stunningly vivid revelations of power and supernatural display took place, it was in situations where all people involved already were steeped in belief in the supernatural to the point of such physical experience, and there was a dispute over the nature of spiritual authority and the concept, name, and mandates of the creative power.

He is not afraid of anything or anyone. His mysterious ways are exactly for people who "THINK" they are geniuses with figuring out life, and everything and everyone else they come into contact with. It is more of a irony issue to SHOW people God is and always will be the Powerful One.

What is mysterious to one is not to another. One can be say an expert painter, able to put a glass shine on a 48' Ford. Others are just baffled at how one can do this. As its mysterious to them, but not to the man who did the work.

Now think of us and G_D. We know all we see is just light. And we know light is a wave. Yet we can only see 10% of the light/wave spectrum. So that means, all we see, all we know, and all we are to learn while alive... all is within this tiny 10% window of the entire picture that is really there.

Man is not as smart as man thinks he is. For man has a sliver of the truth yet tries to claim complete truth. Can't be done.
