define 'GOD' and 'reality', then someone may be able to give a comprehensible answer.

1st : Define Reality. What exactly is your definition of reality? I think that God is a delusion. As an science-loving Atheist,i think that God is a delusion because whatever that cannot be explained by Science,you will answer," God made it that way". The presence of God will dull the human ingenuity,critical and creative thinking skills. No offence to all those who believe in God.

NO! The idea of God is like a dummy to a baby.
The big problem humans - as distinct from other animals - have is that we know we are going to die and worry what happens to our conciousness. Do we just cease to exist - which I believe - or is there an 'afterlife' which God botherers believe?

Yes, but opinions on here don't matter. The truth is the truth whether it is believed or not.
I believe in the wind but I can't see it; I can see the effects but some others might like to believe those effects have a different cause.
We'll all find out for sure one day.

an off beat reply b coz it appears you need reasoning....
There is a famous story of Einstein.....
Some one asked him that since he is a scientist, he won't take anything for granted w/o proof, so what is the proof of God?
Einstein replied; Get me just one person who (even if does not believe in God) has never uttered 'My God' in his life. There is none and that is the proof of God.....
