Buddha says :
Heaven and hell both are impermanent. Those who go to heaven will enjoy results of good karma(deeds) and after a long time , again they will get trapped into the cycle of rebirths.
So Buddha says, dont desire any of that but there exists a third & final state of non-being , eternal and pleasant from where there is no return and one should only strive for that state of nirvana.

ok, their are many religions out their with many different points of view... And their is no way to tell which religion is right or wrong.. true or false... so this is how I look at death
If their is a remote possibility that their is an after life... what would you of regreted most about your life which you could of changed? What attitude would you of changed? How would you of re-acted to people if you realized... that it wasn't worth the stress... that their was no point in being angry... that theirs no point in morning for death(because in death... you are set free)
Also I ask myself this question, "what if the thought process when we die; will determine if we're going to hell or not. Such as; if I where to think negative(suicidal thoughts) that I will endure an eternity(it's in our brain, like a dream; in a dream it seems like only a few moments, but in reality it's been a few hours) of torture/negative vibes... or if I where to die happy, and knowing that I lived a good life and that people loved me; wouldn't you think that you'd die with a great since of being? that you will die with an eternity of good thoughts?} I dunno that's me tho ^_^

The idea of heaven is a gilded cage. A prison is still a prison no matter how beautiful the bars.

Let me know if you find out! I am planning on dust to dust myself but probably will have to take another turn on the wheel.

So that we can meet our Creator/inventor and ask him all kind of questions. We are still bargaining the entry fee though.

Heaven is inside you right now. How does no fear, unconditional love, and clear purpose and meaning sound?
