I don't believe divorce is a good option, but my husband left me long ago and filed for divorce. I did all I could to make the marriage work, but he wanted to move on. When should I tell this great guy that I've been dating for a month that I've been married before?

Well we are not officially boyfriend/girlfriend and we have only been going out for four weeks and it hasn't really been brought up except for my thoughts about divorce in general on IM, so I don't feel like that was the right time to bring it up since in person would be more appropriate...

Just tell him.

I am sure you want this relationship to work out. I am sure that you will do more harm if you delay even further.

I know it must be painful to imagine that he will leave you if you tell him.

But if he does leave you, he will anyways leave you whether you tell him now or later. Also, it will develop a sense of trust in the guy. Now is the time to tell him. Let this relationship begin on a note of trust. If you hide this for long and then disclose this, he will be hurt and will distrust you. He will also respect you less. If he leaves you then, it is going to hurt more.

So keep up your spirits and tell him. Tell him, that you were scared that you would lose him and so did not have the courage to tell him earlier. Since you do not have kids, he should accept you without any problems. I'm sure it will work out well and he will appreciate your honesty.

this guy has already decided he likes you, i would just tell him, its no biggie, tell him before it gets so long he wonders why you havent told him before, or, worse-someone else tells him. You are making too big a deal out of this, just tell him, its quite common these days, this guy likes you because of who you are, keep things from him, he will wonder what else you are keeping, personally i think this is something that should have been said in the early days, not because its important but because its natural when you tell someone about yourself, just tell him, good luck

If he loves you unconditionally, you may have been married 100 times b/4, have 60 children and weigh 2000lbs, he will understand. First clarify with him that he truly loves you. but if he does not feel your pain, you don't need to be with him, he is not as nice or as great as you thought.

peace out

you should be honest with him, because if he finds out from a third party then he will not be happy, he will think why did she not tell me, and he will lose his trust on you.
