Acts 1:8, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you; and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost parts of the earth."

These apostles are a part of the 144,000 Holy Ones selected by God to be Judges and Priests for 1000 year after the Armageddon. Because they have that extra Holy Spirit that a normal person does not possess, they will have the power to perform certain things that a normal person is not be able to do, such as speaking in tongues.

Read the rest of the verse! Power to witness for God.
Acts 1:8 "but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth."

In this case the power of the Holy Ghost is the power to spread the Church. Of course that included many gifts such as the the power to speak in tongues.

I believe he was talking about DC. Although AC is more prevalent these days, I believe it is a distortion of his word and the work of the devil
