Flu vaccines in vials are produced for multiple doses. However, flu vaccines are also produced in a single dose pre-filled syringes. Most probably every facilities have the stock of both presentation so you may ask your doctor specifically for a single dose pre-filled syringe but not a single dose vial.

Since you had an allergy to thimerosal, pre-filled syringe would be the best for you as it does not contain Thimerosal preservative. Flu vaccines in vial includes thimerosal preservatives.(Be sure to inform your doctor of any allergies you have.)

Check out on the flu vaccines produced by different manufacturers in different presentations:

You really should NOT get a flu shot. The vaccine will wear off in around 20 years and you will get the flu worse than you ever would.

Really the best way to resist a virus or any other sickness is to keep yourself healthy, vitamin C, vitamin D, sunlight, vitamin A, zinc, iron...
I suggest taking Centrum every day, it's a magnificent product.

Well, he should have a stock already. If you want a shot he will probably try to get you one, but I seriously doubt that he would only order 1vial. I'm sure he'll order moer for other people. If there is enough (for the last several years there has been a shortage) then the supply will go to those considered high risk.

High risk people are: old, babies, pregnant, in the military, working in hospitals, etc. If they are all covered, then you can get a flu shot.
